Pin Curl Set with Fuji Paper by Russell Mayes

DESCRIPTION

In this tutorial, Russell shows you how to achieve a beautiful and classic pin curl set using Fuji Paper to control the ends of the hair. Pin curl sets are a great way to create long-lasting curls without using heat styling tools that can damage hair. To begin, create small sections of hair and comb each section smooth. Take a sheet of Fuji Paper end papers and fold it in half over the end of the hair section. Then, fold the paper one more time. Fuji Paper is the preferred choice since it tends to be softer and easier to mould than standard end papers. Roll the hair up toward the scalp using the sheet of Fuji Paper to control the ends of the hair. Once you reach the scalp, secure the pin curl with a hair clip. Repeat this process all over the desired area of the head making sure to create even-sized pin curls. Diffuse until completely dry. Once the hair is dry, remove the hair clips and gently unwind each pin curl. The end result is a stronger set curl than if you used a curling iron. The curls will stand up to more styling stress while still holding the shape.
