This collection was inspired by the old Hollywood portraits of movie stars by the photographer George Hurrell. I modernized each cut when compared to the classic version that were done via wet set. I kept the ends soft and still used a razor to keep the hair mold-able.

The first look on Bonnie with her hair cast to the left, was done completely with a Feather Plier Razor to keep the ends free of weight. By cutting the shape with a razor, I have a lot of options when it comes to styling and here I round brushed the look, then curling iron set the shape, and brushed into the finished style.

The second look, here on Stephanie, was done with a Feather Styling Razor to keep the shape of the haircut more blunt and just giving the ends of the hair softness and weight removal. Here I velcro roller set the hair after each section was blown dry with a dryer and round brush, then gently brushed into shape.

The third look was also done on Stephanie, her hair was finer so I blunt cut the shape by point cutting all the ends to help keep movement and still have some movement. After the initial shape was cut, I used a Feather Styling Razor to go through each section and remove weight on the mid shaft and ends using a channeling technique to help the hair separate but still keep the ends strong and the overall shape full. I round brushed her hair and then used a large barrel curling iron to keep some curl in the ends.
