Chelsea Mixie Razor Cut

My client loves the look of a Chelsea mixie which typically features longer, face-framing layers around the front and shorter, layered pieces at the back to create a textured, edgy look. I created this cut using primarily a Feather Plier Razor to cut square short layers all over with disconnection at the fringe, sideburns and nape. For the texturizing details in the disconnected areas I used a Feather Detail Styling Razor on the fringes, sideburns and nape to create softness and blend into the shorter sections. I prefer the shorter handle of the Detail Styling Razor for tricky areas like the nape because it gives me flexibility in tighter spaces. The finished cut is styled with texturizing cream to add grit and movement.
