To create this cut, we combined elements from a few styles the client loved - shag, mullet and strong face-framing - into one cohesive cut. I used a French haircutting technique which takes vertical sections around the head. Using a Feather Styling Razor with Standard Blades, I started by razoring the outline of the bang length, then carved pieces out in front of her ears, and connected to the bang. I then establish a back length with the razor and connected the sides to the back. Next I took parallel sections on the head and razored the length there and pieced everything out with the razor. If pieces seem too chunky in areas I grabbed individual chunks and pieced them apart with the razor. None of this haircut is disconnected; all sections flow smoothly into the next with an overdirection, from nape to crown to connect the crown layers. We cross checked to notch off any corners around the crown. For the finished look I styled with a texture spray and styling paste.
