90s-Inspired Bixie with Rat Tails

To achieve this haircut, I mainly focused on using the Feather Styling Razor. The inspiration for the haircut was a 90s bixie with choppy textured layers. When starting the cut I sectioned out the underneath to preserve the length and braided the rat tails to keep them separated.

The shortest layers on top were rounded 3 inches at most compared to the rat tail sections the sit just past collar bone length. For those choppy layers I took vertical sections pulled towards the face using slicing motions with full pressure, and with the bang area it was more of a flicking motion with light pressure.

There is a slight disconnection with the top layers to keep that choppy messy look, but I made sure to be careful while still having a flow with the layers. I decided where the layering stopped when I initially section out the braided rat tail so that I could see if that was the correct amount that client was happy with and so was I.
