Modern Textured Pixie

For this modern take on a classic pixie shape I chose the Feather Styling Razor. I first clarify with a shampoo to remove any product or environment buildup on the hair. Then I used a silver shampoo to neutralize brassiness.

I start my cut with the razor etching around the hairline to establish length. My client loves a short fringe while keeping length around the ears and neck. I then use the fringe length to create layers that blend perfectly together.

Throughout the cut I use a combination of razor pointing and channeling to reduce weight and increase texture. To style my cut I use a fine hair mousse for heat protection and increased shine. Then I blow dry finishing with a dry texturizing spray for extra movement.
