Curly Razored Mullet with Bald Skin Fade

We started with long curly hair and to create this look I used "mohawk" sectioning. First we clipper cut the sides in a burst fade meets a taper type design. After deep conditioning the hair, I used my Feather Styling Razor to carve out the shape. I started in the fringe area establishing my desired "longest" length for the top. Once I found my desired length, I used my razor to layer the hair from short to long. After I finish layering the top, I move on to the back.

First we established the length we wanted for the back (still with my Feather Styling Razor). Once I had my desired "longest-length," I began short to long layering. Because my client has a high density, in the areas with more hair, I made sure to carve "c" shapes in with my razor to create texture and more separation in his curls. The Feather Styling Razor was key in removing bulk, creating layers, but also adding control when trying to preserve length.
