This curly cut began with a heavy perimeter check to make sure the length sat where the client was comfortable with. I utilized my Feather Styling Razor to create texture and remove excess weight, on both dry and freshly shampooed hair. I pride myself on taking the time to evaluate curly hair at every step of the process. As a stylist, I think the biggest misconception is that razors will break or shred the hair. With Jatai’s Feather blades, I’m able to create seamless and soft texture, even on the more challenging curl patterns. It’s a versatile and organic way of cutting curls to cater to any individual. Once I completed some final detailing work with the razor, his hair was finished with a combination of hood dryer and diffuser.
