Sorry, to disappoint. It is stated clearly on the product page of this item that it is made in China. But it is inspected, edged, polished and finalized in Japan. While most Seki Edge items are made in Japan, some items are made in China due to pricing. If it was fully made in Japan it would be much more expensive. Please be comforted that wouldn't sell it if we didn't think it was up to Japanese standards. We do have a 30 day return policy if you are still unsatisfied.

While most Seki Edge items are made in Japan, some items are made in China due to pricing. If it was fully made in Japan it would be much more expensive.
