FAQ

First, cleanse the area. Then, place a warm washcloth over the blackhead or use a steamer. This will loosen the build-up and make it easier to remove the blackhead. It could take anywhere from 5-10 minutes for this to happen. Using the hole that best fits the blackhead size, place it over the blackhead and rock it back and forth until the blackhead comes out. After removal, use cold water or a cold washcloth over the area to constrict the blood vessels to the area and reduce any inflammation. Prepping the skin and performing aftercare is important to reduce any possibility of scarring or irritation.

It's a good idea to use rubbing alcohol to cleanse the holes and remove dirt, oils and bacteria from the tool.

Whiteheads and blackheads are similar in that they both consist of trapped oils and debris. The difference is that blackheads are dark due to them being exposed to air in an open pore. Whiteheads are in a pore that is closed and, therefore, the trapped oils don't oxidize and turn color. Both can be removed with this tool as long as you follow the proper steps for how to remove them. It may be a little more difficult to remove a whitehead because it is in a closed pore so take extra caution.
