Feather Artist Club SS Razors are our most economical and popular razors. They are our most affordable models but still maintain high Feather quality. SS razor handles are lighter in weight and have a special lip on the head that depresses the skin, raises the hair follicle to get a closer shave. The sandblasted rounded tip head is made of SUS317 stainless steel. This razor provides the ultimate shaving experience. This razor is best for barber professionals who shave but maybe don’t shave as regularly in the shop but still want to give a quality shaving experience for their clients. It’s also a great starter razor for new barber professionals or at home users.

The Different Artist Club Heads

DX Head

The DX head has a concave shape with a polished finish.

SR Head

The SR head has a wider concave shape than the DX with a sandblast finish.

SS Head

The SS head has a rounded tip with a sandblast finish.

The DX tip is flat making it the most aggressive head. However, the weight of the handle allows the razor to do the work, reducing the need to add pressure to the skin. The DX head is the choice for the best overall shaving experience.

The SR tip is rounder and thicker than the DX tip. The roundness helps to push against the skin for a more mild shave and the most optimal angle. The heavier weight helps the razor to do the work and reduce pressure against the skin. Great for shaving thick, heavy hair.

SEE SR RAZORS  

The SS Tip has a significant rounded lip at the tip of the head. The rounded tip pushes against the skin, raises the hair follicle for a closer shave. It also allows for a more mild shave as the lip reducing pressure against the skin. SS Razors are great for sensitive skin.

“I am a regular user of Feather products both professionally and personally. Blade Glide works great as a pre-shave lubricant. So well in fact I can perform a complete shave with just Blade Glide. However I do recommend using Blade Glide as as a pre-shave spray paired with a nice soap lather. As a detangler Blade Glide smooths out knots and tangled hair and reduces tugging on beards during clipper use. Feather blades are very sharp and smooth. I use the Pro Guards with a folding handle Feather razor at work and the Feather DE blades and razor at home.
