My client here doesn't have a lot of density to her hair, it's very fine and likes to lay very flat against her head. When doing her haircut I wanted to create volume and movement with the layers. To do so I utilized a combination of my Feather Plier Razor and Feather Styling Razor. I used the Plier to do the bulk of the cut, carving out the movement and adding in body. I then switched to the Styling Razor to add texture and edge to the fringe and top layers. This combination allowed me to carve in layers at just the right angles, creating the perfect textured look and giving her just the right amount of volume exactly where she needed it. Now her hair lays in a magical way, exuding movement and body. I finished by styling the hair with some texture spray to keep the edgy look and we're golden.
