Yes, hemp is highly effective at absorbing oil and can hold many times its own weight in oil. This makes it great as an absorbing agent in blotting paper.

Unfortunately, there is an issue with the dispenser and that's why the item is discontinued. However, the paper is the most important part and it's highly effective. If the dispenser is causing issues, you can pop open the dispenser to release the roll of paper and tear off what you need.

It depends on how often the paper is used and how much of it is used at one time. Everyone has different levels of oil in the skin. Most people get oily around the T-zone on the face. Using smaller squares of paper can help maximize the use of the full paper surface for absorption.
