Men, are you looking to cut your own hair? This short mens razor haircut shows you it can be done. Razor cutting your own hair is actually easier than using scissors. With scissors you are making precise cuts, but with a razor you can free form. But this doesn’t mean you can just chop away. Knowing some basic razor cutting techniques can at least give you some options for trimming, adding some texture and sprucing up an overgrown haircut.
View this video taken from the internet. Here Sergey Zaroslav uses a Feather Styling Razor, a straight handle with a guarded blade, to cut his own hair. He starts with the sides and back using deep channel cutting and side cutting to trim length. And then he addresses the top by taking horizontal sections, channel cuts and then side cuts to trim the length.
It will take some practice to get good at cutting your own hair, so it’s best to just start with small areas first and not cut too much off. Create your own mens razor haircut by experimenting if you dare!
Note: The LX Feather Styling Razor used in this video is a discontinued model. The current Feather Styling Razor uses the same blades.
