A Razor Shag Cut on Curly Hair by Sergey Zaroslav

A razor shag cut can look many ways simply because there are many types of shag haircuts. It can be short, medium, long and be with or without bangs. The hair can be curly, wavy or straight. The unifying characteristic of a shag is the layering. A shag is made up of many layers that feather out at the top. The layers are often shorter in nature and start at the crown.

In this video Sergey Zaroslav, creates a classic shag razor cut. You can use scissors to cut a shag, but a razor gives a more lived-in look. He starts the haircut  using scissors to cut the straight bangs and then does some face framing with a Feather Styling Razor. Pulling the hair forward and uses a Feather Plier Razor to create texture and layers as well as cut off some length. He continues his razor cutting to create layers on the top of the head. After diffusing and styling her curly hair, the razor shag cut is finished!
