A mullet is defined as a hairstyle where the sides are cut short and the back is long. This classic mullet haircut does just that. This video taken from the internet demonstrates the use of clippers and razors to create this mullet haircut style.
Sergey Zaroslav starts the cut by using a clipper to cut close to the skin on the sides of the head. He cuts the remaining sides, top and back using a Feather Plier Razor, creating texture, removing weight and some length. After diffusing, he uses the Feather LX Styling Razor for final detailing. The Feather LX Styling Razor is a discontinued model, but the current Styling Razor uses the same blades.
Mullets come in many shapes and sizes. Suitable for both men and women, mullet haircuts have evolved over time. Today’s mullet hairstyles look a bit different than when they were popular in the 70s. A quick Google search will reveal that. Back then you often saw it worn by country musicians, but today the style is sported by all kinds of people choosing a different rendition of the classic mullet.
