Inspired by a classic French bob, I used a Feather Plier Razor to cut this style in a way that opens up my client's cheekbones and so that the tip of the side hair falls at her chin, enhancing the heart shape of her face. I cut with a deep stroke on the sides of her hair almost making a crescent moon shape towards the front so the tips of the hair point to her chin. This provided an airy, light feel even though she has a lot of coarse hair. In the nape area, from the occipital bone I made pivoted tighter sections and used short strokes to create an inch and half length of undercut. To style the finished look, I used a diffuser and hand-styled to enhance her natural texture, adding a hair cream to give it a bit of weight to avoid frizziness, then finished with a light wax on the ends. Since my client has a ton of hair, this razor cut works perfectly to get the maximum weight off while still providing plenty of shape and airy texture.
