This top hairstyle is characterized by longer hair that’s low maintenance but with a textured appearance, also known as a wet mop haircut. The razor is used in a way that creates soft, textured razor curls that separate and add depth and dimension to your client’s hair with this versatile tool. With this haircut it’s important to create graduation to keep the shape full without getting a round shape. The shape is extremely versatile and works on straighter hair textures as well. Mop haircuts are often asked for in the shop or salon so it’s important that you know how to give this service especially if you give short haircuts or cut men’s hair. If the client doesn’t already havee curly or wavy hair, you may need to do a perm service as well.
Note: The Feather Plier Razor is an advanced haircutting razor that should be used with caution. Since the handle uses bare blades you can easily cut yourself if you’re not careful. You can also, use a Feather Styling Razor which uses guarded blades to achieve similar results. Since the blades have a guard, they will not cut you.
